Meet the Hockley Community: Despatch

Despatch is perhaps Hockley’s most funky coffee stop and is certainly the most colourful. In prime position on Goosegate, this charming little coffee shop serves excellent coffee from the local coffee roaster Outpost and is one of the more comfortable places to hang out on the street. With an interior inspired by French mid-century decor, Despatch has a strong retro feel and certainly something of a cinematic quality. It turns out the crew behind Despatch are real cinema buffs and the design is inspired by the highly colourful sets of the iconic film director Wes Anderson. So if the sky is grey and there is a drizzle in the air, this cafe offers a bit of sunshine and a colourful place to hang out. You’ll certainly get a warm welcome.
